Target and Neiman Marcus are teaming up to bring 24 CFDA star designers to their holiday offerings this December 1. Everyone from Target designer collaboration alums (Proenza Schouler and Rodarte) to names less familiar to the high-low collaboration game (Thom Browne and Carolina Herrera) are in the mix. The collection coincides with the CFDA's 50th anniversary. The product will range from $7.99 to $499.99, and will be the same assortment in both Target's 1,763 stores and Neiman Marcus's 42 locations. WWD reports that most products will hit under $60 and that some designers will be going the expected apparel and accessories route, while others are taking the opportunity to dive into new waters, including pet accessories and sporting goods.
The complete list of designers name-checked so far include: - Diane von Furstenberg - Carolina Herrera - Derek Lam - Jason Wu - Marc Jacobs - Oscar de la Renta - Tory Burch - Alice + Olivia - Altuzarra - Band of Outsiders - Brian Atwood - Eddie Borgo - Judith Leiber - Lela Rose - Marchesa - Philip Crangi - Prabal Gurung - Proenza Schouler - Rag & Bone - Robert Rodriguez - Rodarte - Skaist-Taylor - Thom Browne - Tracy Reese
The chance to grab something sharp and affordable from Band of Outsiders and Rag & Bone for gift-giving this year has me dying to know what the actual assortment will look like. Stay tuned...
